Solo Dance Performance (2023)

We are used to thinking of love as a feeling. The dance performance invites us to see love also as an effort, that is to say, something that requires an intense physical, emotional and creative (imaginative) effort.

From an anthropological point of view, our actions in the world give birth to us and our feelings – to who we eventually become. Our actions shape what we will become, and what the world will become.

 

“Set me as a seal upon your heart,

as a seal upon your arm,

for love is strong as death,

passion fierce as the grave.

Its flashes are flashes of fire,

a raging flame.

Many waters cannot quench love,

neither can floods drown it.

If one offered for love

all the wealth of one’s house,

it would be utterly scorned.”

Solo dance performance of 5 rhythmic interpretations of the poetic units of the “Song of Songs”.

Love cannot be bought and makes its way through all kinds of barriers.

Creators of performance invite you to purify, strengthen and celebrate this gift through a performance.

Together with the protagonist you will discover and symbolically transcend the obstacles to love.
